after giving myself a day of rest, i have run the original turntable album through photoshop cs4 for post processing to alleviate all of the inconsistencies in lighting, specifically white balance. again, this is an exercise in learning the tools i have at my disposal. this is to not shoot crap and attempt to save it all in photoshop, but to fix issues that i may create for myself, like if i forget a setting, or simply to save those photos i may shoot of things that can never be recreated, like a wedding for example. the key is to make every frame count so my post processing workflow is as simple as possible, although there are instances, like during this shoot with the light changing with every shot, where having the perfect white balance every shot was near impossible without having to whip out the gray card between each shot, and even then, the lighting could change before the shutter closed. having this kind of tool keeps me from having to take multiple exposures of the same shot. where 4-5 frames of the same composition may have been necessary in the past with film, i can get away with 1-3 frames due to such control over post processing with RAW images.

to see the difference post-processing can make, flip between this album and the previous album
